Michael “Mike” Doyle is the Econolite Group, Inc., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Doyle has held this position since acquiring the company in February 1978 as part of a private partnership acquisition. Under Mr. Doyle’s leadership, Econolite Group expanded to serve many aspects of the transportation market, offering products and services from Econolite, Econolite Canada, Aegis ITS, and Safetran.
Mr. Doyle is a past Chair of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA) and spent many years serving on the ITSA Board of Directors and Leadership Circle. In 2013, he was inducted into the ITS America Hall of Fame.
Outside of the ITS industry, Mike spent many years as Chair of the Huntington Medical Research Institute in Pasadena, California. Mr. Doyle is also a founding partner in the law firm Stone & Doyle (Pasadena, Calif.). He is licensed to practice law before the State Bar of California, and is a member of the State Bars of Georgia, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Prior to acquiring Econolite, Mr. Doyle was a partner with Alexander Grant & Company (now Grant Thornton) (Chicago, Ill.), a leading global independent audit, tax, and advisory firm.

Mr. Mohaddes is the incoming President and COO of Econolite Group, Inc. He is a Transportation Executive focused on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and business strategy. He is the former CEO of Iteris, where he led the transformation and substantial growth of Iteris into a software-based traffic management information technology organization through significant organic growth and acquisition of several firms.
After serving the City of Dallas, Texas as a traffic engineer, and several years of consulting practice, he co-founded Meyer, Mohaddes Associates in 1991 in Los Angeles, a firm focused on application of technology in traffic management and systems planning, later merged with Iteris.
Abbas has over 30 years of experience in the application of technology in transportation systems, including traffic management, communication and control, Traveler Information, Systems Integration, Transit, Connected and Automated vehicles. He has developed and implemented area wide traffic management and communication system plans for several small and large agencies around the country.
In recent years much of his technical focus has been on Connected and Automated vehicles policy, and system architecture activities. He is an internationally recognized expert in ITS, and has over 70 publications and presentations at industry organizations around the world.

Peter Sweatman is a cofounding principal of CAVita and has over 30 years of experience in transportation research and innovation, and the application of R&D. That experience encompasses vehicles, drivers, and infrastructure and impinges on technology, policy, and strategic planning. He is a trusted national voice on safety, ITS, transportation research and education, connected and automated vehicles, and freight technology and policy. His professional experience covers private industry, academia, and government. He has worked extensively in Europe and Asia-Pacific as well as the United States.
Dr. Sweatman is a past chairman of the board of ITS America, and also served as founding chair of the ITS America Leadership Circle. He served on the U.S. Department of Transport’s ITS Advisory Committee, as well as a number of roles with the Society of Automotive Engineers. At Transportation Research Board, he chaired the recent EU-US Symposium Towards Road Transport Automation, and served on the Committee on National Research Frameworks: Application to Transportation. He is currently working with the industrial consortium Together for Safer Roads.
He served as director of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) from 2004 to 2015, and founded the Michigan Mobility Transformation Center (MTC) in 2013. He served as director of the MTC, and was responsible for the launch of Mcity on July 20, 2015: “the world’s coolest test facility” (Bloomberg). He also serves as executive advisor to the UM’s Data Science Initiative.

Charles Toth is Econolite Canada’s (an Econolite Group Company) Chief Operating Officer. In this position since 2006, Mr. Toth is responsible for leading all operational aspects of Econolite Canada, including the satellite offices. Working with the overall objectives of the Econolite Group, he oversees the operational controls, administrative programs, quality assurance procedures, and resource planning to effectively grow the organization on a sustainable path. Mr. Toth is based at Econolite Canada’s headquarters in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Toth joined Econolite Canada in 2001, and most recently held the position of Chief Financial Officer. Before Econolite Canada, Mr. Toth held various senior executive and management positions in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive industry.

David Kohl is currently Chief Operational Excellence Officer at Econolite Group, Inc., reporting directly to Econolite Group President and Chief Operating Officer Abbas Mohaddes. Mr. Kohl is responsible for the strategy, management and execution of the Company’s efficiency and effectiveness improvement programs. Mr. Kohl is charged with process improvement initiatives across the entire organization.
Mr. Kohl has nearly 40 years of operations management experience in the precision sheet metal fabrication and transportation industries. He is an American Society for Quality certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.
A 30-year veteran with the Econolite Group, Mr. Kohl was named Chief Excellence Officer in 2008. Prior to this position, Mr. Kohl was the Chief Operating Officer at California Chassis (Anahiem, Calif.). Mr. Kohl started his career at Gibbons Enclosures, Inc. (Industry, Calif.), holding positions with increasing responsibilities eventually being named General Manager.

Douglas Terry serves as Chief Operating Officer for Aegis ITS. Mr. Terry joined Econolite Group, Inc. in 2009 to launch Aegis ITS with the mission to deliver Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) services to customers in the areas of software development, system integration, operations, and maintenance. Mr. Terry has worked in ITS planning, design, deployment, and operations, with special expertise in technical and program management for ITS deployment. Having spent his entire career in the industry, he has worked with transportation agencies around the world to improve their ITS infrastructure.
Before joining Econolite, Terry was a Senior Vice President at TransCore (Hummelstown, Pennsylvania) where he deployed the first all electric tolling system in the Middle East for the Road and Transport Authority of Dubai, UAE. Previously, he served as TransCore’s National Director of ITS, doubling the size of TransCore’s traffic management business. Mr. Terry has served on the boards of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA) and ITS Georgia.

Eric Raamot is Econolite’s Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Mr. Raamot manages every aspect of the Company’s day-to-day firmware, hardware, and system software development operations, as well as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) integration and support. In addition, he is responsible for production line support in the manufacture of Econolite’s many embedded products. He was instrumental in developing Econolite’s groundbreaking Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS) software – Centracs® ATMS.
Prior to being appointed Vice President of Engineering, Mr. Raamot was Econolite’s Director of Systems Engineering in charge of software design and development and customer support.
Mr. Raamot has served on various standards committees including NTCIP, NEMA and ATC. Additionally, he is involved with several university research programs. He is a recipient of the “2010 Best Paper Award” from the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Signal Systems Committee for his collaborative work with Purdue University on Railroad Preemption Performance Measures.
Before joining Econolite, Mr. Raamot was responsible for firmware and software development, as well as systems integration for AECOM Systems Integration Group, which was later acquired by Econolite.

Gary Duncan is Econolite Group’s Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Duncan is responsible for the technical management of the Company’s strategic technology partnerships, research, and technology business development programs. He has more than 40 years’ engineering and management experience in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) industry.
Mr. Duncan has been actively involved in the development of a number of transportation industry standards including NEMA TS2, NTCIP, ATC and recently SAE’s J2735 DSRC Message Set standard. He serves and has served in an advisory role on ITS related research projects including the FHWA ACS Lite research, NCHRP 3-66 Traffic Signal State Transition Logic Using Enhanced Sensor Information and 20-07246 Observed Minimum Thresholds of LED Signals, and various Performance Measures research projects led by Purdue University’s Transportation Engineering School. Mr. Duncan also serves as a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Traffic Signal Systems Committee and is co-chair of the ITE Connected Vehicle Task Force and ATC Controller Working Group. Mr. Duncan is currently serving as a member of the advisory board of the University of Idaho’s National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technology.

John W. Tracey is Econolite Group, Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Tracey is responsible for the Company’s worldwide finance organization, which includes managing acquisitions, guiding corporate strategy, administering tax planning, accounting and reporting, and overseeing internal audit programs. Mr. Tracey brings three decades of corporate accounting and tax experience to Econolite Group.

Ms. Oliver previously served as Co-Chair for the Intelligent Transportation Society of America’s (ITS America) Exhibitor Advisory Committee and Chair of the Programs Sub-Committee for ITS Americas Chicago Complete Streets Symposium. Rodney Mathis is Senior Vice President of Aegis ITS (an Econolite Group Company), responsible for the Company’s Traffic Engineering and Maintenance operations. Throughout his career, Mr. Mathis has worked on developing the continual optimization of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) engineering and maintenance processes by leveraging technology. His acumen in preventative maintenance, emergency response, and increasing public safety led to the design of a one of a kind ITS field asset and maintenance management system (MMS) software, which evolved into the Centracs®MMS. This software type is currently being utilized by more than 24 government agencies.
Mr. Mathis was most recently President of Econolite’s Traffic Engineering and Maintenance business where he oversaw the Company’s Team Econolite contract services operations. He joined Econolite in 2004 as Director of the Traffic Engineering & Maintenance division. Mr. Mathis has managed in excess of 8,000 ITS locations during his career.

Sue Burns is Econolite Group, Inc.’s Vice President of Human Resources responsible for the Company’s human resources programs, including employee development, training, relations, enrichment, benefits, and recruiting. She is also responsible for ensuring organizational and employee policies develop and evolve congruently with Company growth. Ms. Burns has three decades of human resources management experience.
Ms. Burns is a certified Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR®), as well as a training facilitator and coach for development programs with DDI, and Continuous Process Improvement.
Prior to joining Econolite Group, Ms. Burns was most recently the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for Primedia (now Source Interlink Companies), one of the largest publishing companies at the time. She managed the full range of human resource functions that addressed an employee base of more than 1,000. Prior to Primedia, Ms. Burns managed the human resource program for the Orange County Register newspaper, a three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning daily newspaper that serves 34 cities and 300,000 subscribers.

Prior to joining Econolite Group, Mr. Hagewood managed operations for Rockwell Automation’s Allen-Bradley division (Milwaukee, Wis.). He has held executive operations management positions with Windsor Art Products Inc. (Vernon, Calif.), several divisions of Masco Industries (Taylor, Mich.), and Rain Bird (Azusa, Calif.).
